Blankets for Orchha India
Over the past decade, I have traveled to India numerous times to visit. Within central India, there is a small village called Orchha. I have visited this village on several occasions and fell in love with the people there. Over the summer of 2018, I mentioned to the tour guide that I would like to help make an impact on his hometown, but was unsure the best way to go about helping. I was told an Australian couple recently donated woolen blankets to the poor, which left a lasting impression on the village. In December of 2018, with the tour guide’s help, we purchased several dozen woolen blankets, large enough for two. After receiving the blankets, he arranged to distribute them in the village to those who otherwise would not have been able to afford them. We intend to continue this tradition each year to help keep more families warm during the cold season.
